The Griffis family
has certainly grown and even in the 1920's was distributed across the
United States (see distribution). The current web site focuses on the Griffis
family from New York state where a number of relatives inhabited Otsego,
Montgomery and Fulton counties as far back as the 1700's.
For the present generations,
Harold and Evelyn Griffis are the
reference point. They were the parents, grandparents, and great grandparents of
those presently living.
